Have your say on Town Council plans
Weston-super-Mare Town Council has launched a special 'Your Town Your Voice' survey to hear your views on the work the Town Council does for the town. You can fill in the survey here:- https://wsm-tc.gov.uk/contact-us/tell-us-what-you-think/

Still time to sign up for Solar Together
There’s still time to register for Solar Together, the innovative solar panel group-buying scheme which has returned to help North Somerset residents generate clean, local, renewable energy to power their home.
North Somerset Council is once again working with partners the West of England Combined Authority (WECA) and independent group-buying collective iChoosr Ltd on the second round of Solar Together.
This popular scheme uses the collective bargaining power of many local households, businesses and community groups, to purchase high quality solar photovoltaic (PV) panels and batteries, and their installation, at a very competitive price.
To register or find out more go to www.n-somerset.gov.uk/solartogether or call 0800 014 8851 before the closing date of Friday 27 October.
Weston police “talk to us” drop-in
The town centre neighbourhood policing team are hosting a 'Talk to us' event on Saturday 28th October 2023, between 15.00 and 16.00 at Caffé Nero, 53-55 High Street, Weston-super-Mare, BS23 1HD.
This is an opportunity to drop-in and raise any issues of concern with the police.
Could you run the former Victorian cafe?
North Somerset Council wants to hear from businesses interested in running the seafront former Victorian Café in Weston-super-Mare from 1 April 2024.
The deadline for applications is Monday 13 November.
We know lots of people were disappointed when the previous operators retired from the Victorian Cafe and we've been working to come up with a new approach - and we now need a new partner to come in and create a new offer from the location.
We're also looking for someone to run the concessions on Salthouse Fields in Clevedon from 1 April 2024 as well. The deadline for applications for Salthouse Fields is Friday 20 October.
For more information and a marketing pack for either location, email concessions@n-somerset.gov.uk
School deadlines coming up
If your child is in year 6 and was born between 1 September 2012 and 31 August 2013, you need to apply for a secondary school place for September 2024.
The closing date for applications is 11.59pm on Tuesday 31 October 2023. You can apply online. Go to www.n-somerset.gov.uk/admissions
